CPS 510 Human Growth and Development across the Lifespan
This course provides and overview of contemporary theoretical perspectives regarding the nature of developmental needs and tasks from conception through end of life. Issues related to the influences of development on mental health and dysfunction and the promotion of healthy development across the lifespan will be considered. The special tasks, challenges, and concerns for age-stage related issues will be evaluated and discussed while emphasizing the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of the individual. Students will consider how a biblical worldview intersects with lifespan development.
