CPS 508 Counseling Skills in Helping Relationships
This course equips students with the foundational counseling skills required by professionals in the field of helping relationships. The focus is developing and practicing these basic counseling skills through discussion, demonstration, practice, and role-plays. Students will be required to complete both self-and peer-assessments on video recordings of mock counseling sessions. Students will be introduced to basic case conceptualization and treatment planning with goal development. (3 credits)
