Program Mission Statement: The Ministry Leadership program exists to develop emerging leaders for biblically based, spiritually formative ministry in the local church, community, and around the world.
Program Learning Outcomes: As a result of this program, students will:
1. Display integrity as a Christ-follower and leader for the purpose of developing holistic health personally and professionally.
2. Articulate a biblical and gospel-centered philosophy of ministry.
3. Cultivate an understanding and praxis of Christ-centered leadership and administration.
4. Exhibit the interpersonal skills necessary for effective ministry.
5. Develop relationships and strategies that reflect a proper understanding of ministry context.
6. Demonstrate teaching, caring, discipleship and outreach skills for ministry.

Students choose from a pool of Ministry Development courses. These are selected in coordination with the Field Service Supervisor, who will help students determine the best courses to take based on their vocational goals, previous experiences, role and responsibilities within their current ministry context, etc.

Christian Service provides an important part of the overall education program of the college. Its function is to assist students in experiencing various forms of practical ministry, proclaiming Christ by serving Him in the Church and society.

Program Director: Rev. Thomas Beck
Tom serves as the program coordinator for the Bachelor of Arts in Ministry Leadership (BAML) program, beginning July 2025. Before that, he served as an adjunct professor in the School of Bible and Ministry Department, teaching various courses from 2021 to the present time.
Tom has been the Senior Pastor of St. Peter’s Church, a non-denominational ministry in southern York County, since 2004. Before that, he worked in computer science in the insurance processing department.
Tom has been married to Heidi for 37 years. They have two grown children who are married and have four grandchildren.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys running, hunting, and reading.
