SPE 504 Teaching Students with Low Incidence Disabilities
This course offers an overview of student characteristics, and best teaching practices for students with low incidence disabilities, such as visually impaired, hearing impaired, traumatic brain injury, orthopedically impaired, and multiple disabilities. Etiological and diagnostic issues, research based instructional strategies, and family involvement will be discussed. Students will reflect on how these special needs impact their role as a teacher.
