6. Dissertation Process
This section of the Biblical Studies Doctoral Handbook serves as the Dissertation Handbook.
Each candidate for the PhD in Biblical Studies must successfully complete a dissertation based on the candidate's own systematic inquiry into an area of biblical studies. The dissertation is intended to:
- demonstrate the student’s competency in research methodology;
- to demonstrate the student’s ability to think critically and systematically; and
- to make a significant contribution to the literature base of the field of biblical studies.
