COM 331 Digital Design and User Experience for Web and Applications

"This course delves into the intricacies of designing for both websites and web applications, emphasizing the importance of user experience (UX) and the technicalities involved in the creation process. Students will gain comprehensive insights into the holistic approach of digital design, from understanding user needs to implementing responsive interfaces. The course will explore advanced design tools, methodologies, and practices, taking into consideration the evolution of web technologies. Hands-on projects will give students the opportunity to apply design principles, undertake user research, and prototype web solutions. While mastering these skills, students will incorporate a biblical worldview in their content creation and curation, ensuring their designs are ethically grounded. This course will also guide students in understanding the profound impact of design decisions on the user's journey, ensuring they craft experiences that are both efficient and engaging across diverse digital platforms.
