GPC 505 Research and Program Evaluation

This course introduces research and program evaluation in the field of counseling. Emphasis is placed on gaining the knowledge necessary to evaluate and apply the conclusions of published research to advance the counseling profession. Students will be introduced to a variety of research strategies in order to assist in evaluating and incorporating relevant findings in counseling practice and program evaluation. To that end, basic knowledge of research methodology, research design, sampling, measurement, statistics, and ethical and multicultural issues for conducting research will be addressed.
