PAS 211 Discipleship in Community

This course examines the history, theology, and practice of gospel-centered discipleship as a communal ministry of the church, and its extension into other Christian ministry contexts. Students will explore biblical foundations of discipleship, survey major historical models, and engage contemporary approaches relevant to todays diverse contexts. Focus will be given to the development of competencies in designing and leading small-group learning environments and facilitating Christian teaching. Through readings, discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, students will articulate a theology of discipleship in community and cultivate the skills necessary to guide others toward spiritual maturity in Christ.
