Non-Divisional Courses

There are several non-divisional courses that serve specific purposes in the life of a student, as explained below:

College Success - CSS 062 College Success is designed to help students transition to college by developing a better understanding of the learning process, identifying preferred learning styles, and acquiring essential academic survival skills. (Read more under course description.)

LBC 100 Foundations Seminar - This 1-credit course provides undergraduate students with an orientation to the LBC community and college life. Transfer students are required to take this course and are placed in transfer-student-specific sections.

LBC 101 Living in God's Story - This course will launch students on a biblical, formational and missional journey as they begin their studies at LBC.  Students will explore God’s story as a lens through which to view the world, themselves, their studies, their future vocation, and all of life.  Students will build a basic Biblical framework to support their ongoing study of the Bible and consider their own spiritual development as they develop habits for growth.  In addition, students will engage in early levels of creative and critical thinking as they build a foundation for successful academic engagement.   Throughout, students will explore practical implications of living in God’s Story.  (3 credits)
