PAS 305 Care and Counseling

This course introduces students to the theology and practice of care and counseling in ministry. Emphasizing the ministry leader's role as shepherd, listener, and companion, the course explores biblical and theological foundations for care, as well as practical skills in presence, empathy, and communication. Students will consider how the gospel shapes care for individuals and communities in times of crisis, transition, and growth. Through readings, case studies, role plays, and reflection, students will develop greater self-awareness and sensitivity in caring for others. (3 credits)
