POL 305 Politics and the Christian Imagination

This course provides a substantive preparation for students regarding the philosophical, theological, and theoretical foundations for a biblical approach to political engagement and the political process.  Topics will include discussion of politics through the lens of the Bible and church history; philosophical foundations for understanding politics in the pursuit of the Good, the True, and the Beautiful; theological bases for a Christian approach to faithful political engagement; and examination and assessment of contemporary political approaches. (3 credits)
