ELE 101 Introduction to Early Childhood Education

This course is designed to provide an introduction to teaching in grades PreK-4. It will offer an overview of the various types of early childhood settings, the environment in which instruction takes place, the educational models that direct the design of teaching and learning, and the legislation that impacts early childhood programs. The learning experience will include observations of programs that embrace various models of early childhood education. The lens of a biblical worldview will provide the backdrop for all course content. (3 credits)
