GWW 500 Introduction to Graduate Writing

Students are introduced to the habits and conventions of academic writing at the graduate level, enabling them to be successful writers in their graduate courses . Through active engagement in the research and writing process, with targeted, individualized support, students will demonstrate improvement in the following areas: grammar, diction, awareness of audience, organization, topic development, scholarly research, documentation, and revision . This course will be taken in conjunction with at least one other graduate level course and will support the required writing in that course. Students who do not pass GWW 500 with a grade of at least 80% will be re-enrolled in the course the following sub-term and will be required to meet weekly with an Ally Center writing specialist.
