PSY 228 Principles and Techniques of Psychotherapy

This course provides the groundwork for the major approaches to counseling ad psychotherapy through teaching key therapeutic techniques and theoretical concepts.  The practical applications, ethics, and empirical research underpinning each psychotherapy approach are discussed.  Areas of convergence and divergence from a Christian worldview will be explored with each counseling approach. 

Course Prerequisite(s) – SOC 101 General Psychology
