Withdrawal from Course
Students who need to withdraw from a course must contact their academic advisor as soon as possible. If a student withdraws from a course after the first night/week of class, the student will receive a grade of “W” (withdrawal). A “W” will not affect the student’s grade point average but will appear on a transcript. A withdrawal from a session already in progress will result in a “W” (withdrawal) during weeks two and three. A “W” will not affect the student’s grade point average but will appear on a transcript. After the third week a grade of “F” will be assigned. An “F” will affect the student’s grade point average and will appear on a transcript.
Students who withdraw from a course may be eligible to receive a refund as stated in the Tuition Refund Policy.
The date of withdrawal will be the date on which the student officially contacts the advisor or program office to request the withdrawal. Withdrawal forms are available from the academic advisor.
A student’s withdrawal from a course may affect financial aid. All financial aid refunds are calculated according to federal guidelines. The student is responsible to contact Financial Aid regarding what, if any, changes occur as a result of withdrawal from the course.
No refund is given for unused books or materials.
