Additional Protocols
LBC|Capital Community
Doctoral students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in community events such as Homecoming, Missions Conference, Chapel, athletics, and events at The Trust Performing Arts Center. An updated list of events is available at the events page of the Lancaster Bible College website.
Chapel services are streamed live and catalogued on the LBC website.
Appointments with Faculty
Students should make appointments directly with the individual faculty member by calling Capital (717-560-8200) or by e-mail. Appointments with the Director of the DMin program are made by calling the same number, or Adult Learner Services (717-560-8282), or made directly via e-mail at dkegarise@lbc.edu. Appointments with adjunct faculty or visiting lecturers should be made directly with the adjunct or visiting faculty member.
Calendars and Dates
Due to the nature of ministry practitioners who are part of the Doctor of Ministry program, Year 1 academic schedules are set and made available to students during the application and admissions process. Though dates are subject to change, it is highly unlikely that they will change. Any changes that are made will be communicated far in advance to allow for any travel or calendar arrangements to occur.
It is the responsibility of the student to take note of seminar dates, assignment due dates, and any other submission deadlines in the completion of the degree requirements. Additional fees may be incurred by ignoring dates and delay completion of the doctoral degree.
Faculty Advisors
The Director of the Doctor of Ministry degree program and Cohort Advisors serve as advisors to Doctor of Ministry students for academic issues or general shepherding. The Adult Learner Services team serves students related to programmatic issues.
Internet Access and Resources
Doctoral students must have easy access to a personal computer and the Internet. All doctoral students receive a free email account. This is the official account for communications. Students are responsible to check this account on a regular basis. Notifications of Capital matters are sent to your LBC email account and constitute formal notification to the student.
