CFM 509 Missional Families in a Global World
The course will focus on elements that constitute missional family wholeness, its characteristics, and effective mobilization. This redemptive approach to family discipleship is based upon the biblical vision of families moving from their brokenness to being a blessing. It examines the dynamics of being and doing in family life as framed by the hope of God's mission in the world. A core contextual understanding for this course includes families belonging to the family of God, His Church, thus participating in the mission of God in His kingdom. By examining the family's purpose in the of the story of God throughout scripture, a redemptive hope for discipleship of families in the local church will be cultivated by exploring approaches that reach through its families to the their surrounding local and global community with the gospel of the kingdom of God. 3 Credits.
