2018-2019 Graduate Catalog

Student Standards

Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School is an academic institution that develops leaders for the cause of Christ. It is expected that students, faculty, staff, and administration will be pacesetters in learning and living for the cause of Christ. Therefore, we have set some very basic guidelines (listed below) to help foster this mission. If there be any concern of conduct based on these guidelines, the student will be contacted by a Dean of Capital Seminary & Graduate School and the Registrar (in the case of plagiarism). Action steps will be presented in person and in writing. The student will then have the right to present any grievances to the Student Appeals Committee.

The following student life standards are not set forth as absolutes or as an index of Christian spirituality, but rather are established to help each student grow and learn in a context that Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School has found to be wholesome and nurturing for spiritual life, learning, and leadership.

Confidentiality

Students will be sharing experiences from organization(s) with which they are associated, some of which are of a sensitive nature. Therefore, it is expected that all class members will respect the confidential and sensitive nature of this information outside of class.

Respect

Students come from diverse backgrounds and have had different experiences and interpretations of these experiences. Although it is not necessary to agree with the instructor or other members of the class, it is expected that all participants will be respected and given the opportunity to articulate their thoughts and perspectives.

Plagiarism

Any use of material written by another person without credit given will be considered plagiarism, which is a serious offense in the academic community.

Academic Integrity

As followers of Christ, we need to be fully committed to honesty and truthfulness in all aspects of our lives.
