IRE 100 Intensive Reading
This course is designed to equip students with skills needed for strategic academic reading. Skills will be introduced and modeled in the context of authentic reading materials. Students will document and reflect on their development as strategic readers, using analysis and planning tools that are transferable to other coursework. Corpus-based vocabulary and extensive reading activities will be integrated with an emphasis on improving student comprehension and reading rates.
